The Texas Tribune, in partnership with Religion News Service, the Institute for Diversity and Civic Life, and Southern Methodist University, will host a one-day symposium to explore how the complex religious landscape of Texas is represented in the media today. Convening journalists, public scholars, and community leaders, the symposium will seek to stimulate cross-sector conversations about how religion shapes identities, social and political movements, and civic spaces in Texas, and about the role the media plays in shaping how Texans see and understand these dynamics.
