Description
Now in its fifteenth year, the Center for Curatorial Leadership (CCL) trains curators to become visionary leaders of art museums at a time when the demands of cultural institutions and the public are rapidly evolving. CCL’s Fellowship program has transformed the model for museum leadership training with a signature curriculum that includes Columbia Business School coursework, mentorships with museum directors and exposure to a wide network of philanthropists, cultural leaders, and innovators. CCL seeks funding to implement strategic planning to keep the program at the forefront of critical issues, and to expand the mutual support of CCL alumni and their influence on the institutions they steward and the next generation of rising leaders. Funds will support the engagement of a wide range of stakeholders to evaluate issues affecting museums today and to beta-test new curriculum. It will also support alumni lectures, panels, and gatherings; listening tours and interviews; and an alumni-authored publication on best practices in museum leadership.Â
