Description

Migration into the United States has been and will likely continue to be a hot-button issue shaping national, local, and state elections. However, the subject is one that is not well-understood by many voters–in part because of the mis- and dis-information circulated about it. The Migration Policy Institute is an independent, non-partisan research center dedicated to producing and disseminating high quality, policy relevant research about immigration. The Institute proposes to produce five short-form and accessible “explainers” aimed at a general audience seeking accurate and unbiased information during this election season. MPI aims to circulate the “explainers” to local officials, journalists, teachers, non-profit leaders, and others who can share them to broad audiences.
