Description

This grant will support core programing of IJA including: The Indigenous Journalism Fellowship which supports Indigenous students (graduate and undergraduate) pursuing media degrees to learn from more senior journalists about the news industry; the Indigenous Media Conference, an annual meeting that brings together Indigenous journalists from across the globe for networking and professional development; and their Indigenous Media Initiative which provides trainings to Native journalists to better cover Native issues and communities while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, ethics and responsibility in reporting.
