Ask a Curator
Ask a Curator is a Henry Luce Foundation series that explores the minds behind museum curation—where vision, memory, and community meet. The series features conversations with curators whose exhibitions have been supported by Luce grants, including Asma Naeem on Joyce J. Scott: Walk a Mile in My Dreams, Glenn Adamson on Toshiko Takaezu: Worlds Within, and Eva Respini on the work of Firelei Báez.
In each interview, the curators reflect on the choices behind their exhibitions and how these align with the Luce Foundation’s mission to foreground American art as a catalyst for dialogue and understanding. They also share how public engagement, community collaboration, and co-curation are shaping new approaches to interpretation—expanding who gets to speak, remember, and belong in our cultural institutions. Ask a Curator is not just about what’s on display—it’s about how art helps us see one another, hold complexity, and build common ground.
