They partner with Indigenous communities across Australia to support the development of community projects that advance indigenous self-determination and community development. This work takes place across a variety of areas, driven by community partners, including business, environment, governance, youth development, etc. There are a lot of potential lessons to learn from this grant. Support will advance their overall work and specifically their Indigenous research and evaluation efforts that are used to document models, lessons-learned and upfit important topics for Indigenous peoples in Australia including environmental justice. This work also intersects with other HLF grants focused on Indigenous data sovereignty. Their work centers Indigenous knowledge and practices, placing Indigenous communities as the experts in community developments process. These program values and elements will make this grant fruitful to our overall learning.
