The Henry Luce Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Radhika J. Shroff, Managing Director on the Private Equity Impact team at Nuveen, to its Board of Directors. A recognized leader in impact investing and governance, Shroff brings decades of experience in advancing social inclusion and climate resilience across global markets. Her expertise will strengthen the Foundation’s mission to foster knowledge, understanding, and leadership within diverse communities
In a joint statement, Board Co-Chairs Debra Knopman and Terry Adamson said:

We look forward to Radhika bringing her thoughtfulness, curiosity, and creativity to all aspects of our philanthropy.”
Shroff is part of a team at Nuveen that oversees a $1.2 billion global portfolio of impact private equity investments. Before joining Nuveen, she served as Deputy Chief Investment Officer at Accion Global Investments, where she led equity investments and helped to manage positions in over 20 financial institutions supporting underserved populations worldwide. Earlier in her career, Shroff held positions in investment banking, commercial banking, and microfinance principal investing across global financial services firms.

Shroff holds an M.B.A. from The Wharton School and an M.A. in International Studies from The Lauder Institute. A former Luce Scholar with the Thai Ministry of Finance, she also serves on the advisory boards of Turner MIINT and Impact Capital Managers, among others.
Shroff’s appointment underscores the Foundation’s commitment to thoughtful stewardship of its resources. Her strategic insight, global perspective, and dedication to impactful philanthropy will be invaluable as the Foundation continues its work at the intersection of knowledge, understanding, and justice.
