Funding will support NCNK’s policy salons, a trusted forum for briefings about government policy, engagement with the DPRK, and reports from travelers to the country. It will assist convenings such as an annual conference for US and international NGO representatives conducting humanitarian work in the DPRK, and further workshops, trainings and mentorship to cultivate and advance the next generation of students and young professionals interested in North Korean issues. Finally, it will aid a partnership with the East-West Center, DC, for NorthKoreaintheWorld.org , an interactive website with information on the DPRK’s external diplomatic and economic relations.      HLF has provided support for NCNK’s work through several grants since 2012.   This grant would advance Asia’s Goal 2 (strengthen US foreign policy on Asia and improve US-Asia relations) and Goal 3 (enhance public awareness of Asia).
