The Transatlantic Policy Network on Religion and Diplomacy (TPNRD)—a network of diplomats and experts on issues of religion and international affairs—will migrate from Cambridge University to Georgetown University’s Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs. TPNRD Director Judd Birdsall will continue to lead the project as it enhances the capacity of diplomats to engage religious actors, fosters transatlantic collaboration and scholarship, and expands public engagement through its website, which provides analysis on issues at the intersection of religion and foreign affairs.

The Berkley Center has received a $346,000 grant from the Henry Luce Foundation to fund the Transatlantic Policy Network on Religion and Diplomacy (TPNRD), which will migrate from Cambridge University to Georgetown University as one of Georgetown’s ongoing programs. The three-year grant will help the TPNRD to expand its public engagement, capitalize on opportunities to forge new partnerships, and fine-tune its method of fostering transatlantic diplomatic collaboration and policy-relevant scholarship in the field of religion and international affairs.

Judd Birdsall, project director of the TPNRD, said, “The move of the TPNRD project to the Berkley Center, the leading research institute of its kind, presents an exciting new chapter for the network.
