Description

The McNay Art Museum will bring together the work of over 50 artists who explore the expression and reading of gender identity.  Organized in observance of the 50 th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, the exhibition will focus on generational shifts in the expression of non-binary identities, provoking consideration of self-presentation and challenging  hardened notions of gendered appearance.  In place of a published catalogue, the McNay will experiment with online resources and virtual exhibition tours with the aim of reaching a global audience.
