Description

The  National Indian Child Welfare Association (NICWA) will conduct research that will examine variation in Tribal child welfare codes. The goal of this study will be to identify Tribal policy trends and to understand the variation of policy choices all with the goal of creating a resource that will be shared widely on best practices in Tribal child welfare codes and policy. This aligns with IKI program strategy 2b: To support the efforts of Native knowledge leaders and organizations to advocate effectively for policies and resources that will strengthen Indigenous knowledge and sovereignty.
